Help! Sonappa videos are not working on my device in school!

Sometimes, Sonappa or our video host Vimeo is automatically blocked by a local authority IT department. We are working hard to have our videos whitelisted in each authority, and we hope to have it available in them all soon. We recommend using an up to date browser such as Google Chrome, but most browsers work fine. Occasionally Internet Explorer may cause issues.

Does Sonappa visit schools in person?

Yes! We love to visit schools all over the country and meet young people and teachers who are interested in music making. We have various projects on our main page that include live masterclasses, where one of our tutors that you see in the animated videos will visit the school and deliver an exciting lesson for a full class.

What is a masterclass?

A masterclass is a unique lesson where our tutors will visit your school and deliver a music class. Masterclasses can last from 60 to 90 minutes depending on a class and teacher's schedule. If necessary we can bring iPads with GarageBand loaded up and ready to go.

Do you deliver online masterclasses?

Yes! We can deliver live masterclasses via Microsoft Teams, where our tutors can be put up on the class board and deliver an exciting lesson. We have done loads of these during times where we could not visit schools – and we have loads of great tools to make digital live lessons engaging and fun for your class.

How do I download additional resources from Sonappa?

At the bottom of our categories page after you log in you'll find a button that says "Downloads". Click here, and you'll find all the available files that can enhance your lessons in the form of pre-made GarageBand files. These can then be loaded onto an iPad and opened up easily – if you need more assistance we have a video that shows in-depth how to get files off of the browser on onto your iPad.
